I came across this on a flash drive. This was originally posted in April 2015.
referring to I Chronicles 25, 26. Musicians and Gate Keepers. reference Acts 2:41-47.
As the first century church grew, think about what they referred to. The Holy Spirit was bringing the Word of life, the Word of God to their lips. (The Old testament to bare reference to what was taking place. Just as they referred to that of what Jesus their Messiah had just taken place and now what the Prophet Joel had prophesied, and still further along, those scriptures to which brought forth the prophets and the works of God through them.
The artful crafts of God's Sanctuary and those whom He set into play within His cherished city, upon the foundation of it, and how far perverted it had become as not to recognize the coming Savior, even by their very elect. Such as it will be in the coming days to some who are not looking for Jesus. Even though the scriptures tell us that His coming will be recognized as lightning appears in the skies, from one hemisphere to the other. Those who are not looking for Him may not be ready to understand and will be left behind. (a great series of books, "The Left Behind."
Wouldn't you, if you had just experieced what the Apostles and chosen ones had witnessed, Jesus and learning that it had been prophesied. These men of God who had not studied the Torah in many years --- some recalling and others having to put eyes to the scrolls to re-learn what they had forgotten from their early childhood teachings about the coming Messiah. Jesus had recalled certain scriptures to them from the Torah about His appearance. God fortold of His plan in the scriptures, now they were nose in books, seeking to learn more. Why do you think James was left behind in Jerusalem along with a few others? So, they could study the scriptures more thourghly. I think this is one reason that God brought Saul on the scene. You see, as you may know that Saul was in the line to perhaps becoming a High Priest, and through his zeal to protect the teachings of the law, and he knew it very well. Saul was so well versed in the Torah and Mishnah that he could recall scripture that would test or tease the Apostles, all of which were not learned men as he. Of course, we Christians know that because of this "HOLY Spirit" that indwells in Believer's --- He can use anyone that submits to Him, removing his own self, and allowing God to use him, He can speak through that Temple. Imagine the old stone temple and seeing all the way into the Holy of Holies, no curtain to block your view. This is what God desires of each one of us, a completely unobstructed view. But, we Christian's, many who have walked years with Him still have a bunch of junk in the way, perhaps the love of money is stacked up on one side, while the need or thinking the need to be seen by others as important on another, or that new expensive car that one can barely afford parked in front of the door of the Temple. there are varieties and scarcities of items and even our thoughts -- are they pure, oh this is another barrel of junk stacked in front of the door to the Temple. There is so much other stuff, and junk, even some might be idols --- wanting to be like the mighty Hulk, ones own personal savvy bigger than life blocking the entire Temple complex.
You can gather all the stuff that invades our personal space with God. He is left outside, kicking a can toward us, yet no one is there to see it, let alone catch it or kick it back. There are communication gaps in our lives, and many --- might i say that most Christian's has a bunch of this stuff keeping us away from our daily walk with Him! Yet, God is waiting for us, and He is willing to help us overcome! He desires to know YOU more, so put on your thinking cap, grab a pencil or pen and lets come together tomorrow and get started with our overhaul.
First things, first - - - right now, ask God to forgive you of your short comings, or perhaps you have not come to Him in a very long time. Just think about all the stuff that has invaded your life, and before you get very deep with that, ask God, "Forgive me please Father, in Jesus Name." Now, ask God these words, "Father, create in me a clean heart O' God that I might serve you." and then let's meet up tomorrow right here, remember the paper and drawing stick!
God help me to be expecting your return. I've been taught about your return, I've read about your return, but give me the heart of EXPECTING daily, moment by moment or ever how you have guided the scripture writers to explain this phenomenon to my finite mind and heart. Thank you, in Jesus Name I ask and expect to know, now!
