Therefore we must give earnest heed to the things we have heard. (now don't we give heed and listen to others we converse with regularly? Your friends, colleagues, business partners, etc., then why can't we as Christians heed the words of the Holy Bible as it is written?)

lest we drift away. (stay in the Word of God, not only read a verse a day, but make a plan to read and study, ponder, and meditate on the Word of God. AND Be sure to give a few minutes to <LISTEN> for God to speak to you, don't be so busy you don't have time to listen, remember it's a relationship, the most important relationship you have in the universe!)

ok, here we go.

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard HIM, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders with various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will! ((The Word of God states clearly here there are (because the Word of God LIVES, meaning today as yesterday, God is the same, yes? That's what you believe right, You say you believe it, don't you? Really or not?) signs and wonders, various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Those who believe the Word as it is written, in a vernacular you can understand can follow the scriptures. Learn what the word of God says by reading a bible you can understand.))

Read on down in the scriptures in your bible, do you understand what the Word of God is teaching you?

Jesus can aid us who are tempted by the devil, God allows the devil to tempt us at times to bring us to "a desperation moment" in a test that tries our emotions while we are being molded and made into His likeness and image so we will be a vessel proven, one that overcomes the flesh where certain things or words from our old self, before Christ or when we backslid which the devil has used against us or made us think we were doing something that was ok, yet in God's eyes we were willfully sinning. But now we can have victory through Christ Jesus for He has Victory over sin. Please remember once you are tested for whatever God is molding you for, and you fail the test, God will repeat it, but perhaps not immediately. You could move on in God's process in His making you Holiness and remember you are to be in the image of God to the world, though you'll be relying on God for everything, for we have only One God in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me and tried Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said 'They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.' So, I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.'

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said:

"Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

There are times in everyone's life when one is thinking about something pure and an impure thought will enter one's mind, this is when one should put that thought away, not ponder on it, and then give that thought the opportunity to surface, giving way for the sin. Just thinking about it for any length of time can produce sinful thoughts and imaginations will begin to flourish.

Seek God in forgiveness of sin, ask Him to help you not to think about the impurities of life and if it's a person that reminds you of a recompense, pray sincerely that God will take that memory away.
