Sanctified Discipline

ree

Let us dive into a touchy subject for many who desire to serve God. First are we prepared to do Him justice in our service? You might ask yourself what, if anything do I need to do to serve God? There should be a focus on prayer, reading God's Word and then listening for His directions. Be sure to have pen and paper available to write down or record on your voice recorder what He says, verbatim, then begin. Don't change anything if you're sure you wrote down exactly what God said to do. Let me say this, begin as soon as possible, and follow through the end.

God will guide you into His truth, sometimes He will guide one through circumstances, other times He will place others in your path to help guide you, but here again this is where you'll need to learn how to discern what God is saying from what ole slew-foot might be interpreting your brain with ideas that have nothing to do with your focus.

God may chasten you if you deliberately do something other than what He desires. Or, He may not speak to you directly for a time and place obstacles in whatever you are doing. The scope of following God has been interrupted by your selfish desires or what seems good to you, that is not the will of God. You better get back on trail with God before things seemingly get out of your hands and you're completely lost, and nothing seems to fall into line with your perspective.

Go back to your journal or notes and resonate your thoughts, compare what you've been doing with what God instructed you to do. Remember you will have peace that surpasses your understanding when you're walking in the righteousness of God.
