Excerpts from "The Coming World Revival" by Robert E. Coleman, ISBN: 0-89107-840-1
Isaiah 55:3 - "Incline your ear and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live, And I will make an everlasting covenant with you---"
55:10-11 - "For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
Luke 8:11 - "The parable is this: The seed is the word of God."

Further excerpts from "Hudson Taylor and The China Inland Mission, Volume 2 - 1860-1905." ISBN:9971-972-64-6.
The commitment exercised by Dr. Taylor and his team to engage this foreign field of evangelism during the late 1800s was a monumental undertaking, thus his burden did not cease and he went forth in the Name of Jesus. Dr. Taylor undertook this ministry by faith that God would provide his every need, with prayer and supplication alone his way was tough, but God instilled in like-minded-believers of the Cross of Jesus and His retribution would overcome all his needs, this is a course we at Solomon's Porch undertakes daily, God will provide. We do not seek contributions from people, we pray to God for His provision and He has provided mostly through our inceptions, though at times God has provided through others who walk by faith.
As Hudson Taylor and his team poured out their hearts in prayer God would send the Gospel to every part of China. As Taylor originated in England, his homeland he found the need to present the Gospel daily throughout his called arena, China. Yet the only need he could accomplish was the hope through faith in prayer alone to reach the inland providences of China.
Our call is to North America, our present stage is Randolph County Alabama, and its surrounding county skirts. The need for prayer in all this area is great, much evil has integrated and set up houses of evil means, and we continue to drive through the areas to assess spiritually. The tone of unsurpassed evil is prevailing, this is the primary reason for the call of unity among all Christians in the area. One church in one area can pray for their immediate area, but when many Christians, ie: the church, the body of Christ, UNIFIED as God intended, many with unique gifting, but when separate one is limited, when 3000 come together in unity as when Peter spoke in the beginning stages of the church, much was accomplished for the body of believer's through the power of the Holy Spirit, this is Holy Synergy or as history has recorded it as "Koinonia." This is a Greek word meaning the brotherhood of commonality, an intimate relationship or fellowship in unity with the Bond of Christ brought about by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 3:3, "For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh." Have you knelt before God in prayer, don't you think the God of the universe is worthy of kneeling in prayer? Of course, there are times throughout each day when kneeling in prayer isn't practical, as we're driving, workingyou're, or playing sports, etc. but there are times in a day when we have the opportunity to kneel in prayer to our Savior and Lord GOD, Father in Heaven. When we're singing and praising God in church or your study, lifting one's hands in praise brings about blessings that one may not get otherwise. If you're one that is reserved, worrying about what your neighbor would think of you by lifting your Holy hands Saint. Then, get over that fallacy and place God's will, as He has taught many times throughout the living word of God. The Word of God is living to you, I hope.
What does Revival mean to you? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is a Church service with a visiting evangelist. Some of which are chosen by the merits of Christianity within their denomination. Some churches will venture out to find someone by word of mouth of others' personal opinions or one might be a close personal friend of the church leader(s). Does, this question, the one who has the final say in choosing the preacher or teacher of the Holy Script ever just rely on God's will, where this person has been brought into one's mind several times to be the one, but then is not chosen? Forgetting about following the Holy Spirit and ultimately leaving the revival to someone from the past who did a "Good job"?
Let us start Revival within our hearts first, before we get into community service. This may be for me more than for you, as I ponder these words that God is guiding me through for this blog post.
Again some excerpts from Coleman's book, Meditate upon Psalms 80:18, 85:6, 138:7
What does revival mean in these passages personally, spiritually, and corporately? What scriptures does God lead you to during your time with him, while meditating upon Him and Revival?
Where is the source of this spiritual life? Note Isaiah 57:15 and Deuteronomy 6:24, and 32:39.
My thoughts, When we commit ourselves to God's commands and observe His statutes, to fear Him, He preserves us in His righteousness as we're careful to observe His teachings and His commandments; being a child of God is a choice we make, whether we're obedient or not and that alone determines our walking in and through Him or we walk in our own dominion and fate.
As in Philippians Three, the Apostle Paul teaches us that we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus, having no regard or confidence in our flesh. We do not reside in our own reasoned understanding but are made alive through Christ Jesus, in our Spirit which communes with the Holy Spirit from the Father, while we rejoice in Christ, a unity that we as believers of the firstborn can opinionate.
We, true born-again believers in Christ Jesus as God incarnate, can only reside in Him when we divest our human reasoning for His resounding truth through the work of the Holy Spirit through us. We do not reside in our own reasoned understanding, but are made alive through Christ Jesus, in our spirit, the Spirit of God communing with us for His good pleasure. This is where we come together unified in God for His will to be done in the world through our human bodies that are set aside for Him, we must commit, and submit to Him. This change of habits from our mortal body to His spiritual body incased in ourselves and our reasoning is converted from the former to the conventional Godly mindset. God desires our everything to be a mature Christian that He can use for anything at any moment. This is the time of the seasons of life here on earth. Molding and making his church into a usable entity for His good pleasure.
This is your "Personal Revival".
Mature Christians are aware that asking God to prepare themselves for His service in their new walk will require some sacrifices. One will be challenged in their current behaviors to change. This has become new trials, evening the old ways of walking with God to a new upgraded set of challenges to become who God desires one to become is disturbing to one's composure or self-possession, upsetting, discomfiting. This is a challenge for the human soul.
Philippians 3:12 says, "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press onward, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me."
Are we truly desiring a closer encounter with God?
Earlier this week in morning prayer I thought about a few challenges that I was encountering, and it was because I desired to walk worthy to what God was talking about Adoption of Orphans, Fostering Teenagers, and helping them to prepare for college.
I must admit that my walk with God has deteriorated some over the past three years. I have some excuses, but I'm not placing the blame on them, but on myself. I slipped back into watching television programs that were rated R, and MA. These programs are known for violence, pornography (slight as it may be), and filthy language. It's the same as if I were hanging around with people that do these things and the Apostle Paul says beware of this type of association that it will rub off on to oneself,
God led me to acknowledge these things directly in prayer, perhaps you have some of the same issues, so I will offer this prayer as I prayed earlier this week. This is the beginning of "Personal Revival."
Yours may be different, ask God to reveal the things He sees wrong in your life.
Dear Lord, purge me from licentiousness, all evil thoughts, and desires, all wrongdoings, all unholiness, all ungodliness and search me for all guilt and shame and deliver me from wickedness.
Amen
God revealed these things and I wasn't aware of them. We have to remember, that some sins we have may have been a little lie, that we didn't recognize as such, I know my God's grace to us is sufficient to cover our shortcomings and if we ask Him for forgiveness, He forgives us if it is with sincerity of heart.
I do know that I judge people occasionally, but I am learning not to do that. God has given me discernment over much and with His help and guidance I will overcome self-indulgences, as I try to divide the Word of God appropriately and do for others as God leads me, then when my second nature becomes my primary nature of how God taught me firstly, which usually becomes habitual, then I pray I will do so with humility.
I pray that you know Jehovah God, but the only way to have a relationship with our Father in Heaven is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, for He is the one who died for our sinful nature, the sins that plague every human born on this earth. Because of the fallen nature of Adam and Eve in the garden, when they disobeyed The Father and took personal pleasure in partaking of a fruit that was forbidden they brought death upon themselves and all of us who are born in human form. Death is separation from the Father, Adam and Eve had life with the Father until they disobeyed in Paradise, the Garden of Eden. Thus, when humans are born in this world we are actually born into death, one can live in death their entire life, but God saw this and designed a way that humans could live with Him in paradise or heaven eternally, and that was when God became human through His Son Jesus the Christ who took away the sin debt that every human is born with away. But, humans still have the option, they can live their life in the death that they entered the world with originally, or they can choose life in heaven with the Father through believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who gave himself as the propitiation for every human sin debt. Believe that Jesus The Christ paid the way for humanity to live alive in Christ while on earth and later when they pass from this spiritual being within human flesh to heavenly body living with God. There is a choice that every human needs to make in their life and it's one's best to make the choice early in ones life on earth so the Holy Spirit can teach and guide you while living here, preparing you for heavenly life.
In closing, many organizations have teachings and phrases that guide folks to do good and that's not a bad thing, but let me say that not all teachings are from the Word of God, but let us hold True to those Words for they are Inspired from the Father of Light, through Christ Jesus who we should all hold near and dear to our hearts and adhere to His teachings.
